Jerry N. Uelsmann

American, b. 1934

Jerry N. Uelsmann was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1934. He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and Indiana University. Uelsmann taught photography at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He was a founding member of The Society of Photographic Education, (a national non-profit organization that provides a forum for the discussion of photography as a means of creative expression and cultural insight). He died in 2022 in Gainsville, Florida.
